Brigette Lopez is a Cuban American writer/director from Miami who swears cafe con leche runs through her veins. She earned a BA in Film & TV Production from NYU's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts where, under the mentorship of Susan Seidelman (Smithereens, Desperately Seeking Susan), Brigette made her thesis film TEEN DAZE.

After her education, Brigette cut her teeth working for the film industry's most illustrious companies, like A24, Archer Gray, and The Weinstein Company, before realizing she was more interested in telling her own stories. Her most recent short, THE RECEPTIONIST, is based on her experience working at The Weinstein Company during the scandal that became ground zero of the #metoo movement.
